Jared Krebs is in his fifth season as an assistant coach under Matt Jones for the Shippensburg University baseball program. He assists the Red Raider outfielders and serves as an offensive instructor.

Shippensburg has had four All-PSAC outfielders during the last four seasons, including three-time first-teamer Justin Garber and three-time second-teamer Tyler Redick. Garber graduated as the PSAC's all-time hits leader with 288 and holds school records in batting average (.396), at-bats (727), runs (188) and total bases (404) while ranking third in RBIs (141) and stolen bases (68). Following the 2008 season, Garber became the first known Shippensburg outfielder to be selected in the MLB player draft.

Krebs has also been a mentor to current junior Cody Kulp, a talented prospect for the Red Raiders who was an All-PSAC Eastern Division Second Team pick last season. Through his first two seasons with the Raiders, Kulp has batted .338 in 100 career games with 42 extra-base hits, 84 RBIs and 11 outfield assists.

From 2001-04, Krebs appeared in 154 games as an outfielder and designated hitter. He finished his Raider career as a two-time All-PSAC honoree that helped Shippensburg to its most successful season in school history.

As a senior, Krebs hit .331 as the Red Raiders won a school record 43 games. In four years, Krebs’s squads totaled 128 wins, a PSAC title and two NCAA regional berths. He finished his career with a .278 batting average, 11 homers and 85 RBI.

Krebs graduated from Shippensburg in 2004 with a degree in elementary education. He is currently working for Cornell-Abraxas while pursuing his master’s degree at Shippensburg. Krebs lives in Shippensburg with his wife Carrie, who was a track athlete at Shippensburg and a 2004 graduate.
