Biography
2007-08 (as a junior): Evolved into a consistent force in the backstroke and breaststroke events…finished season with best team time in the 100-yard backstroke…recorded the second best team times in both the 200-yard backstroke… also owned second-best team time in the 400-yard individual medley with a place at the PSAC Championships.
2006-07 (as a sophomore): Continued to deliver strong performances in backstroke and breaststroke events…contributed her fastest swims in the backstroke at the PSAC Championships…finished in 12th place in the 100 backstroke and in 10th place for the 200 backstroke at the conference championships…. ranks among Shippensburg’s all
time fastest swimmers with a seventh-place finish in the 200 back and a ninth-place finish in the 100 back…recorded the team’s fourth quickest time in the 100 breaststroke and the third quickest time in the 200 breaststroke…also matured as a competitor in the individual
medleys, recording the third fastest time in the 400 IM.
2005-06 (as a freshman): Proved to be one of the team’s best backstroke swimmers, turning in two of the team’s better times in the 100 back (1:03.65) and the 200 back (2:15.91)…both times were lifetime bests…placed 16th in the 200 back at the PSAC Championships.
Personal: Full name is Susan Elizabeth Wiechelt…is the daughter of Thomas and Catherine Wiechelt… born on September 5, 1987…is majoring in elementary education with emphasis in special education and English...brother
Tom is a freshman on the Shippensburg wrestling team.
