Biography
2008-09 (Sophomore): Completed his first season for the Red Raider swimming team after transferring from Towson University…placed in three freestyle events at the conference championships…finished 10th in the 1,650-yard freestyle (16:38.49), 12th in the 500-yard freestyle (4:47.25) and 15th in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:03.59)…his efforts for the season ranked third on the team in the 1,000 and fourth in the 500 and the 1,650.
2007-08 (Freshman): Served as a versatile freestyle swimmer for the Division I Towson Tigers during his debut collegiate season…posted the team’s fastest time on the season in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a time of 16:33.09 in the CAA Championships that merited a 14th-place finish…recorded the team’s second-fastest time on the season in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:43.66 in the CAA Championships for a 16th-place finish…ranked third on the team during the season in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:10.56 in a dual meet against George Mason…was also among the team’s top 15 competitors in sprint freestyle…also swam backstroke.
Parkland High School: Was one of the state’s Top 8 swimmers in the 500-yard freestyle his senior year with a time of 4:42:12 at the state finals…also a state qualifier in both his senior and junior years…earned First Team District honors and a District XI title in his senior year…won the captain honors in his last two years of high school… was a member of the cross country team and competes in individual triathlons.
Personal: Full name is Dale Robert Winterhoff…is the son of Dale and Maryanne Winterhoff…born Aug. 24, 1989…majoring in physics.
