Biography
2010-11 (Junior): Continued to work as a breaststroke swimmer for the Raiders…placed 12th in the 100-yard breaststroke at the PSAC meet with a PR of 59.88 seconds…convincingly improved his PR in the 200-yard breaststroke with a solid swim at the Patriot Invitational…achieved his season PR in the 200-yard individual medley at the Patriot Invitational.
2009-10 (Sophomore): Progressed as a breaststroke swimmer for the men’s swim team…placed 14th in the 100-yard breaststroke at the PSAC Championships…posted his season-best efforts in both breaststroke at the Zippy Invitational…swam trials in the butterfly and the individual medley.
2008-09 (Freshman): Completed his first collegiate season as a breaststroke swimmer for Shippensburg University…recorded the team’s fifth-fastest time of 1:01.11 in the 100-yard breaststroke and the team’s fourth-fastest time of 2:18.06 in the 200-yard breaststroke…both efforts came at the GMU Patriot Invitational.
Cumberland Valley High School: Four-year letterwinner with the Eagles…won districts in 2006…also played water polo.
Personal: Full name is Tyler Jeffrey Prete…is the son of Jeff and Tammy Prete…majoring in marketing.
