Biography
2009-10 (Junior): Continued his service for the Red Raiders in his third year on the team…most prevalent events were distance freestyle flights…competed in a multitude of different events during the season.
2008-09 (Sophomore): Competed in numerous freestyle events for Shippensburg during his second season with the team…posted season-best times in various dual meets throughout the season, including a second-place finish against Canisius as well as other scoring performances against IUP, Kutztown and West Chester…raced in the 500-yard freestyle, 1,650-yard freestyle and the 400-yard IM at the GMU Patriot Invitational.
2007-08 (Freshman): Dedicated athlete who participated in most freestyle flights…owned third-best team time in the 1000-yard freestyle after a time of 10:13.52 at the PSAC Championships…also recorded fourth-best team time in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 17:10.24 at the PSAC Championships…placed 12th and 10th respectively in those events.
Personal: Full name is Christopher James Torrens…is the son of Bob and Linda Torrens…majoring in supply chain management.
