Shippensburg University Athletics

2020 (R-Freshman): Played in 10 games, making three starts, before the season was canceled after 18 games due to the coronavirus pandemic…made three starts in left field…totaled five hits in 19 at-bats for a .263 batting average…recorded an RBI in each of the final two games of the season…had a double, walk, and two successful sacrifices…scored six runs.
 
2019 (Freshman): Redshirt season…appeared in five games, making a start against Pitt-Johnstown…totaled two hits in five at-bats and scored one run.
 
Huntingdon High School: Earned three varsity letters for the Bearcats playing for his father, coach George Zanic…also competed at the club level with the Huntingdon Redhawks…batted .405 as a senior, leading the Mountain League with 22 stolen bases and 33 runs scored…named to the All-Mountain League First Team as a second baseman and the All-Altoona Mirror Second Team…finished as a two-time All-Mountain League selection, earning Second Team honors as a junior center fielder…also earned two varsity letters in golf…graduated with high honors and a 3.694 GPA.
 
About Zanic: Full name is Nicholas Alexander Zanic…is the son of George and Lori Zanic…majoring in supply chain management...has a sister, Savannah.
