2008 (Freshman): Joined the Red Raiders during the season and immediately contributed to the team…made appearances in 15 games along the back lines and started in 14 of them…converted a penalty kick against Slippery Rock for his first career goal…fired 13 total shots…recorded five shots on goal…solidified the backfield.

2007-05: Attended Oakland University in Michigan, a Division I institution, but did not play sports.

Abington High School: Thrived as a center midfielder and a fullback for the Ghosts under head coach Randy Garber...won four varsity letters…earned all-league honors for all four seasons…started approximately 80 games during his high school career and netted two career goals.

Personal: Full name is Matthew C. McNamara…born on Aug. 24, 1987…is the son of Terrence and Mary McNamara…majoring in communications/journalism.
