2020 – 1000 Free (15th), 1650 Free (14th)
2019-20 (Freshman): Debuted as a distance freestyle competitor…scored in both the 1,000-yard freestyle and 1,650-yard freestyle at the PSAC Championships…represented the Raiders in the 200-yard butterfly and 400-yard IM at the PSAC Championships…posted the team’s third-fastest times of the season in the 1,000-yard freestyle and 1,650-yard freestyle, with both season bests occurring at the conference championships…achieved the team’s second-fastest time of the season in the 200-yard butterfly with a season best at the PSAC Championships.
Palmyra Area High School: Totaled four varsity letters for the Cougars…competed at the club level with the Palmyra Aquatic Club for coach Cynthia Lyons…set a school record in the 200-yard individual medley (IM) with a PR of 2:00.11…qualified in all four of his seasons for the Mid-Penn Conference Championships and district championships…contributed to a ‘AAA’ state championships relay for his team…received an AP Psychology award of excellence.
About Durand: Full name is Austin James Durand…is the son of Dusty and Andrea Durand…majoring in psychology…has a sister, Ava, and a brother, Connor.
