2020-21 (Junior): Emerged as an integral scorer and leader for the Raiders in her third season…placed seventh in the 100-yard backstroke at the PSAC Championships and recorded a PR that equals her ranking of sixth in school history…finished seventh in the 200-yard backstroke and 11th in the 100-yard butterfly at the conference championships…represented the Raiders in the 200-yard IM at the conference championships…contributed to sixth-place finishes in the 100-yard backstroke and the 200-yard backstroke at the conference championships…ranked second among Raiders in the 100-yard backstroke and the 100-yard butterfly…slotted third among Raiders in the 200-yard backstroke.
2019-20 (Sophomore): Scored in three individual events and with two relays at the PSAC Championships to conclude her second season…qualified for the ‘A’ finals of the 100-yard backstroke and 200-yard backstroke and the ‘B’ finals of the 100-yard butterfly…represented the Raiders in the 200-yard IM at the PSAC Championships…set a lifetime PR in the 100-yard backstroke in prelims at the PSAC Championships that ranks sixth in school history and a lifetime PR in the 200-yard backstroke in prelims at the PSAC Championships that ranks seventh in school history…contributed to scoring performances with both medley relays at the PSAC Championships…posted the team’s fastest times of the season in the 50-yard freestyle and the 200-yard backstroke in addition to the team’s second-fastest times of the season in the 100-yard freestyle, 100-yard backstroke and 100-yard butterfly.
2018-19 (Freshman): Contributed to a pair of scoring relays at the PSAC Championships in her debut season with the Raiders…swam on the fifth-place 200-yard medley relay at the conference meet…represented the Raiders in the 100-yard backstroke and 100-yard butterfly at the PSAC Championships…posted the team’s second-fastest 100-yard butterfly time of the season with a PR at the Patriot Invitational…ranked third among Raiders in the 200-yard backstroke and fourth in the 100-yard backstroke.
Hershey High School: Competed for the Trojans and was a part of four consecutive Mid-Penn Conference and District 3 Championship teams…was also a member of the team that won the 2015 state championship…scored 17 points at the 2018 District 3 Championships, including a fourth-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke and a 15th-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle.
About Nakano: Full name is Tomomi Nakano…is the daughter of Masakazu and Chinae Nakano…majoring in psychology.
