2017-18 (Junior): Continued as a multi-event swimmer for the Raiders in his third season, working primarily in freestyle and butterfly events…achieved his first PSAC scoring performance, finishing 16th in the 100-yard butterfly at the conference meet…represented the Raiders in the 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle, 100-yard butterfly, and the 200-yard butterfly at the PSAC Championships…contributed to three scoring relays at the PSAC Championships…achieved new personal bests in both butterfly events at the conference meet…served as the team’s pacesetter in the 100-yard butterfly for the season.
2016-17 (Sophomore): Maintained his role as a steady swimmer for the Raiders in his second season…competed in the 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard butterfly and the 200-yard butterfly at the PSAC Championships…contributed to a pair of place-winning performances in medley relays at the PSAC Championships…ranked second among Raider swimmers in both butterfly events…notched a collegiate best in the 100-yard butterfly at the Patriot Invitational and in the 200-yard butterfly at the PSAC Championships.
2015-16 (Freshman): Made his debut with the Raiders, contributing to a pair of place-winning performances in relays at the conference championships…placed sixth with both the 200-yard medley relay and the 800-yard freestyle relay…competed individually at the PSAC Championships in the 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle, 100-yard butterfly and 200-yard butterfly…posted SU’s second-fastest time of the season in the 1,000-yard freestyle and served as the team’s No. 3-fastest swimmer in both butterfly flights…notched both of his butterfly season bests at the conference championships.
Iroquois Junior/Senior High School: Earned four letters as a member of the Braves under coach Mike Kujawinski…qualified for state championship meet in sophomore, junior and senior years…was named to First Team Region Two all four years…also named a District 10 All Star…holds seven school records…participated in club swimming as a member of the Lake Erie Dolphins under coach Gregg Sarbeck…also was a member of the track & field team.
About Kaliszewski: Full name is Shane Thomas Kaliszewski…is the son of Bill and Kristy Kaliszewski…majoring in public administration…is one of a set of triplets, including brother, Kyle, and sister, Alli…father, Bill, played football and baseball at California (Pa.)…brother, Kyle, runs track at Penn State Behrend…sister, Alli, plays softball at Lake Erie College.
