2013 (Sophomore): Collins continued to progress as an integral runner for the Raiders, competing in eight of nine races including all three in the postseason. She ran a personal-best 6K time at the NCAA Atlantic Region Championships as SU’s No. 6 runner before rounding out the team’s contingent at the national championships. Collins was SU’s No. 9 runner at the PSAC Championships. At Lock Haven, Collins was SU’s No. 2 runner and finished second overall. In track, Collins ran on the PSAC indoor 4x800-meter relay that placed sixth. She was also a PSAC indoor qualifier in the mile and a PSAC outdoor qualifier at 1,500 meters. Academically, she was named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country squad.
 
2012 (Freshman): As a first-year runner, Collins competed in all six regular season races – including the PSAC Championships. She was SU’s No. 9 runner at the conference meet and also impressed with a turn as SU’s No. 1 runner in the open race at the Paul Short Invitational. In her final race of the cross country season, Collins established a new 6K PR of 23:15 at Lock Haven, finishing third in the Go Fast River Run. During the track season, Collins contributed to a PSAC indoor champion on SU’s distance medley relay, running the 800-meter leg. She was also PSAC indoor qualifier at 800 meters and in the mile. Outdoors, Collins was a PSAC qualifier at 1,500 meters and in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
 
Kiski Area High School: Collins totaled eight varsity letters for the Cavaliers under coach Thomas Berzonsky. Her athletic participation included four years of cross country and track competition. She was a two-time cross country team MVP who served as a team captain during her senior season. Additionally, Collins was twice honored with a Respects Opponents Officials Team and Self (ROOTS) award. Collins’ strength in the classroom was noted through her graduation with honors and by holding a place on the High Honor Roll throughout high school.
 
Personal: Jessica Marie Collins is the daughter of Timothy and Mary Pat Collins. She is majoring in English and seeking her secondary teaching certification. Jessica has a brother, Tim Jr.
