Maintained a consistent role as an integral member of the linebacker corps last season and is expected to start at the Sam linebacker position this season … is a key member of the special teams coverage… has appeared in 20 games over the last two seasons.

2007 (Red-shirt junior):  Ranked third on the team in tackles with 65, including 36 solo tackles and a team-best 8.5 tackles for loss… tied for second on the team with two sacks, including 1.5 sacks against Lock Haven on October 26… recorded at least two tackles in every game during the season and at least four tackles in 10 of 11 games… combined with Antoine Parks on a sack in the season-opener at Shepherd… totaled 4.5 tackles for loss against the Bald Eagles… contributed to at least one tackle for loss in six different games, including 1.5 tackles for loss against the Rams… forced a fumble against Kutztown that was recovered by Josh Harding.

2006 (Red-shirt sophomore):  Appeared in nine games, primarily on special teams … totaled 17 tackles and one sack … also recovered a fumble … had a season-high five tackles against Kutztown at home on September 16 … totaled four tackles the following week at West Chester … did not play against Edinboro or Clarion due to injury … had a sack for a loss of two yards at Slippery Rock on October 7 … recovered a fumble forced by Jaron Nalewak with 4:45 remaining in the fourth quarter at Slippery Rock that led to Patrick Ferguson’s game-winning 9-yard touchdown reception from Tony Gomez in Shippensburg’s 28-21 victory.

2005 (Red-shirt freshman):  Finished third on the team in tackles with 79 … appeared in all 11 games, starting nine at Mike linebacker after Frank Duffy moved to Sam linebacker to replace the injured Chris Wolfe … led the team with nine tackles for loss and recorded half of a sack in a road loss at Edinboro … recorded 2.5 tackles for a loss at Bloomsburg … also had 1.5 tackles for loss against Indiana (Pa.), Lock Haven and Slippery Rock … totaled a career-high 12 tackles against Edinboro … netted at least eight tackles in six games … also recorded an interception against Clarion.

2004 (Freshman):  Red-shirt season.

Cumberland Valley High School:  Three-year letterman … played for head coach Tim Rimpfel … team captain as a senior … named All-Mid Penn Conference First Team as a senior and Mid Penn Conference Defensive Player of the Year … also earned All-Mid Penn Conference First Team as a junior … led the team in tackles as both a junior and senior … totaled 97 tackles in 2002 and 91 in 2003 … also had three interceptions as a senior … member of the Eagles’ 2001 and 2003 District III championship teams … also lettered twice in baseball as a catcher.
