2012-13 (Junior): Redshirt season at Shippensburg for track & field after competing in cross country for California (Pa.)…ran in all six races for the Vulcans…was the No. 3 runner at the PSAC Championships and No. 5 runner at the NCAA Atlantic Region Championships...posted a sub-27 minute 8K time at the Waynesburg Invitational…was a member of the AD Honor Roll.

2011-12 (Sophomore): Participated in cross country and track for the Vulcans of California (Pa.), posting three PSAC place-winning performances on the track…set an indoor school record with the distance medley relay, posting a NCAA provisional qualifying time of 10:05.98…placed fourth with his school’s DMR squad at PSAC Indoor Championships…finished eighth at the PSAC Indoor Championships and PSAC Outdoor Championships in the 800 meters…was a PSAC indoor qualifier in the mile…established his outdoor personal best in the 800 meters in the preliminaries at the PSAC Championships…competed three times in cross country, including a turn as his team’s No. 6 runner at the NCAA Atlantic Region Championships.

2010-11 (Freshman): Competed in track & field for the Red Flash of Saint Francis University…won an indoor conference title in the distance medley relay, running on a quartet with his brother, at the Northeast Conference Championships…later ran on the DMR at the IC4A Indoor Championships…was a NEC indoor conference qualifier in the mile and an outdoor conference qualifier in the 800 and 1,500 meters…ran on the outdoor 4x800-meter relay for the Red Flash at the conference championships.

Canon-McMillan High School: Earned 12 varsity letters for the Big Macs under his father, coach Jeff Gibson…was a PIAA state qualifier in both cross country and track & field…contributed to a pair of WPIAL team championships…won a WPIAL individual title at 1,600 meters…established school records indoors at 1,600 meters, the mile and with the 4x800-meter relay and outdoors at 800 and 1,600 meters as well as with the 4x800-meter relay…honored as a Pittsburgh Tribune-Review and Washington Observer-Reporter Athlete of the Week…named the Almanac Track Athlete of the Year…recognized as Boys’ MVP at the Washington County Track & Field Championships…graduated on the high honor roll and as a member of the German Honor Society…also played basketball.

Personal: Full name is Nicholas David Gibson…is the son of Jeff and Diane Gibson…majoring in management…has four siblings, Taryn, Jonathan, Kyle and Justin, all whom competed at one point for Saint Francis (Pa.)…Taryn is an assistant coach at Louisville who was a national qualifier with the Cardinals…Justin currently competes for Saint Francis (Pa.)…father Jeff is an assistant coach at Robert Morris.
