Shippensburg University Athletics

2013-14 (Junior): Impressed with a dynamic third season with the Raiders…recorded six consecutive wins in singles play, marking the longest by an SU player since 2006…finished with a 9-9 singles record – the most wins by any Raider in a single season in eight years…went 4-2 in singles in the PSAC East…achieved seven of her nine singles victories at No. 2 singles, adding one each at No. 1 singles and in tournameny competition…worked at the No. 1 doubles position 16 times with teammate Brittnee Buckley.
 
2012-13 (Sophomore): Completed her second season with the team with an overall singles record of 2-6, including a 2-4 record in conference play…played every match at the No. 1 singles position…picked up a win against Cheyney (6-0, 6-0) and against East Stroudsburg (4-6, 6-3, 10-8)…also competed at the No. 1 doubles position and finished with an overall record of 1-7, including a PSAC record of 1-5…defeated Cheyney 8-0 with partner Brittnee Buckley.
 
2011-12 (Freshman): Posted a 2-12 overall singles record while playing at No. 1, 2, 3 and 4 singles in her second season with the team…played five matches at No. 2 singles, going 1-4…defeated Cheyney, 6-0, 6-0…posted a 1-2 mark at No. 4 singles…win came against Shepherd, 6-4, 6-4…won two doubles matches with Kat Werner…defeated Shenandoah at No. 2 doubles, 8-4, and beat Cheyney at No. 1 doubles, 8-0.
 
Boiling Springs High School: Did not compete in tennis with the Bubblers…graduated on the honor roll.
 
About Saintz: Full name is Julia Grace Saintz…is the daughter of Kerry Saintz and Jennifer Rinker…double-majoring in history and geoenvironmental studies while seeking certificates in geographic information systems and Latin American studies…active with the SU Farm and completed a Study Abroad trip in Fall 2014 in which she hiked the Himalayas.
