2011-12 (R-Junior): Exceled for the Raiders in a variety of throwing events…won a PSAC outdoor title in the discus and finished second in the hammer with two significant personal best, NCAA provisional-qualifying throws…honored with USTFCCCA All-Region classifications for both efforts…placed fourth in the weight throw and eighth in the shot put at the PSAC indoor championships…her weight throw earned a USTFCCCA All-Region classification.
2010-11 (Junior): Red-shirt season...studied abroad at SoonChunHyang University in South Korea.
2009-10 (Sophomore): Placed second in the discus at the PSAC outdoor meet in her second season with the Raiders…qualified for the PSAC indoor meet in the weight and the shot and the PSAC outdoor meet in the hammer…achieved new PRs in both of her outdoor throws at the PSAC Championships…set a new indoor PR in the weight at the PSAC Championships…established her new indoor PR in the shot at the Bison Open.
2008-09 (Freshman): Began her career as a thrower for the Raiders…posted an indoor PR in the weight throw at the 18th Annual Winter Classic…recorded a PR in the discus at the Lynchburg College Invite…tossed her PR in the hammer at the Paul Kaiser Classic.
East Juniata High School: Earned five varsity letters for the Tigers under coaches Mark Ritzman and Troy Hess…won three consecutive Tri-Valley League and district championships in the discus…medaled twice in the discus with fourth-place finishes…also placed ninth at the state meet…never lost the discus in a meet as a senior until competing at the PIAA championships…named the 2008 Tri-Valley League MVP and East Juniata Field Athlete of the Year…recognized as a scholar athlete and was a member of the Distinguished Honor Roll…also participated in field hockey and cheerleading.
Personal: Full name is Sarah Eileen Brotzman…is the daughter of Thomas and Ruth Brotzman…majoring in art and seeking a graphic design certificate…has two siblings: Elizabeth (Brotzman) Sperich, who competes in track & field at Messiah, and Thomas…competes with Infinity Throwers Club.
