Biography

2011-12 (R-Sophomore): Qualified for the NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships at 149 pounds in his second year with the Raiders…placed fourth at 149 pounds at the NCAA Super Region I Championships to receive his NCAA berth…finished the season with an impressive 16-13 record despite competing at two different weight classes…began the year at 157 pounds, where he posted a 6-7 overall record and placed sixth at the PSAC Championships…made the in-season switch to 149 pounds and posted a 10-6 mark there, including a 6-2 record in dual meet competition…tied for the team lead with seven pins…picked up his victories by fall over wrestlers from Ithaca, West Liberty, UNC-Pembroke (twice), Thaddeus Stevens, Kutztown and Newberry…also tallied a major decision over a wrestler from Millersville…posted an eight-match win streak from January 12 through February 4.

2010-11 (R-Freshman): Impressed in the first half of his debut season before injury limited his output in the second half…posted an 11-9 overall record, including a 7-5 record in tournament competition…placed fifth at the PSAC Championships in the 149-pound bracket…led the team with six pins on the season despite competing in just 20 total bouts…achieved two of his pins at the conference championships.

2009-10 (Freshman): Attended Bloomsburg University, did not compete.

Central Dauphin High School: Earned three varsity letters as a Ram under head coach Jeff Sweigard…finished career with 127 varsity wins and served as team captain as a senior…helped team to multiple team PIAA State Championships…qualified for individual PIAA ‘AAA’ State Championships three times…placed twice with sixth and eighth place finishes…finished as a PIAA ‘AAA’ District 3 finalist three times and won the championship once…finished as a finalist at sectionals three times including one win…was a PowerAde medalist three times including two third place finishes…medaled twice at the Beast of the East tournament…set a school record with 30 wins by fall as a senior…twice named to the Patriot-News’ Big 14 Team…named a Mid-Penn Conference All Star on three occasions…also a District 3 All Star.
