Biography

2012-13 (Sophomore): Posted a 16-7 record and a 14-4 dual-meet mark while grappling at three different weight classes (157, 165 and 174 pounds) in his second collegiate season…16 victories were second-most on the team…wrestled 10 bouts at 157 pounds with a season-high seven wins…totaled three pins and three major decisions…finished sixth at 174 pounds at the Super Region 1 Championships…won six straight bouts in January, with two wins at the East Coast Duals followed by a run of four straight wins to kick off the Super Region 1 Duals, including a pin in 3:38 and a 16-6 major decision…also won four straight dual-meet bouts in February vs. West Liberty, Anderson, Pitt-Johnstown and Kutztown…went 2-3 at the Super Region 1 Championships with his two victories a pin in 2:59 and a 9-7 decision.

2011-12 (Freshman): Thrived in the second half of his debut season to cap off a solid rookie campaign for the Raiders…placed sixth at the NCAA Super Region I Championships at 165 pounds…finished with a 14-14 overall record, including a 13-8 mark in dual meets…won 13 of his final 20 bouts of the season, including nine out of 10 from January 26 through the end of the regular season…represented the Raiders at the PSAC Championships…won four of his five dual meet matches versus PSAC opponents…achieved bonus points on six occasions, including major decisions over wrestlers from Seton Hill, UNC-Pembroke and Anderson (S.C.) and pins of wrestlers from Millersville, Gannon and Newberry.

Spring Grove High School: Earned four letters for the Rockets under head coach Tony Miller...twice earned YAIAA All-Star honors…posted a career record of 125-36…was a two-time sectional champion and won a District 3 championship…became the first freshman in school history to win a sectional title…finished as a AAA state runner up at 171 pounds as a senior…contributed to four team division titles and the team’s first berth to states in school history…wrestled for coach Brian Polashuk on the club circuit…was a member of the National Honor Society…selected to the Pennsylvania All-Academic Wrestling Team…also played football…tabbed as a York County Football All Star second-team pick on offense and defense.
