2011 (Junior): Quintrell ran in five races for the Raiders in his second season at Shippensburg, setting a 6K PR at the Piper Alumni Challenge. He placed sixth at the LHU Go Fast River Run as SU’s No. 2 runner with an 8K season PR of 26:51. Earlier in the year, Quintrell was the team’s No. 3 runner at the Gettysburg Invitational. During the track seasons, Quintrell was a PSAC indoor qualifier in the mile and the 3K and a PSAC outdoor qualifier in the 800 and 1,500 meters.
2010 (Sophomore): In his first season competing for Shippensburg, Quintrell ran in three races for the Raiders. He set a SU PR in the opening race of the season with a 21:23 in the Alumni Invitational 6K. He later ran a 28:19 at the Division II Challenge 8K, another SU PR. During the track season, Quintrell was a PSAC indoor qualifier in the 800 meters and the mile and a PSAC outdoor qualifier in the 800 meters and the 1,500 meters.
2009 (Freshman): Quintrell competed in all seven races during the season for the Pirates of East Carolina University (Division I). He opened the season with a 4K time of 13:08 and a 5K time of 16:08. Four 8K races were next up for Quintrell, including a season-best time of 26:16 from the Great American Cross Country Festival in Cary, N.C. Quintrell also ran at the NCAA Regional meet from Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, posting a 10K time of 35:52.
North Penn High School: Quintrell thrived for the Knights under coaches Ron Jaros and Jay Jones, totaling 11 varsity letters. He was a two-time All-American with his school’s 4x800-meter relay and won two cross country team championships. Overall, Quintrell won 4x800-meter relay championships (two indoor and two outdoor) and individually placed eighth in the 800 at the PIAA state meet with a time of 1:55.42.
Personal: Brian Timothy Quintrell is the son of Tim and Wendy Quintrell. He is majoring in history and seeking a minor in business. He has a brother, Greg. Both of his parents attended Shippensburg.
