2011 (Junior): Spratford finished a dynamic second season at Shippensburg as an All-American in cross country, indoor track and outdoor track. She was the only SU athlete to achieve this feat. During the fall, Spratford placed 10th overall at the 2011 NCAA D-II Cross Country Championships, navigating the snow with a time of 21:35. Spratford also earned All-PSAC and All-Region honors for the second straight year after finishing second in both races. Her second-place finish at the PSAC championships established a new 6K PR by almost a full minute. The first race of the year was Spratford’s first collegiate 4K; she finished in 14:41. Over the course of six races during the season, Spratford was the team’s No. 2 runner in every race – including a strong 48th-place finish in the gold race at the Paul Short Invitational. Indoors, Spratford earned All-America honors with the DMR (sixth) and in the 5K (eighth) after being named the Most Valuable Track Athlete of the 2012 PSAC indoor meet in which she won conference titles in the mile, 3K and DMR. Outdoors, Spratford finished with an All-America honor in the 10K (seventh) after earning All-PSAC honors in the 1,500 meters and the 3K.

2010 (Sophomore): In her first season with the SU women’s cross country squad, Spratford earned All-America honors with a 23rd-place finish in 21:51.7 at the Division II National Championships from Louisville. Spratford earned All-PSAC and All-Region honors with Top 10 finishes at each meet, serving as SU’s No. 4 runner at regionals and SU’s No. 5 runner at the conference championship meet. She made her Raider debut at the Greater Louisville Classic with a 5K time of 18:20. She also earned a Top 10 finish at the Division II Challenge hosted by Kutztown. During the track and field season, Spratford competed in the 5K at the Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships and set the outdoor school record in the 10K with a time of 35:19. She placed third in the 3K and fourth in the 5K at the PSAC outdoor meet as well as seventh in the indoor 3K and 5K.

2009 (R-Freshman): Spratford completed a redshirt season at Richmond. She competed unattached at the 2009 USA Junior Cross Country Championships and finished 14th overall.

2008 (Freshman): Competing for the Spiders of Richmond University, Spratford finished in sixth place at the Atlantic 10 Championships with a time of 18:15.4 to receive All-Conference recognition as well as being named the A-10’s Most Outstanding Rookie Performer. She began her career with the Spiders by recording a time of 21:48 at the Paul Short Invitational and then posted a 6K time of 21:44 at the Penn State National Invitational. Spratford finished 33rd at the NCAA regional championship meet.

Voorhees High School: Spratford accrued 11 varsity letters for the Vikings under coach Justina Cassavell. She placed 10th at the 2008 N.J. Outdoor Track & Field Meet of Champions in the 3,200 with a time of 10:51.38 and won the 5K with a time of 18:08.39 in lapping the field at the Rowan University Invitational. At the 2008 Nike Outdoor National Championships, Spratford placed 16th in the 5K. She placed third in the two-mile at the 71st Eastern States Indoor Track & Field Championships held at the New York City Armory and eighth at the 2007 State Cross Country Meet of Champions with a time of 18:42.0 at Holmdel Park. Her efforts helped her team qualify for the 2007 Nike Team Nationals in cross country. She was named the 2008 West Jersey Cross Country Runner of the Year and the 2007 Hunterdon Warren Scholar Athlete of the Year while earning Group III Star Ledger All-State honors in cross country in 2007 (First Team), 2006 (First Team), 2005 (Second Team) and 2004 (Second Team).

Personal: Katrina Arielle Spratford is the daughter of Mark and Donna Spratford. Her major is exercise science. Her sister, Courtney, is a graduate student at Shippensburg. Her brother, Shane, also attends Shippensburg.
