2012 (R-Junior): Emerged as a fearsome pass rusher from the end as a defensive lineman and hybrid linebacker for the Red Raiders in his third season on the field…recorded new career highs of 18 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, two sacks and an interception…played in all 13 games…made starts against ESU, Lock Haven and Cheyney…notched at least one tackle in nine games, including a career-high four versus Bloomsburg in the NCAA playoffs…had sacks against Shepherd and Lock Haven that totaled 17 yards for loss…credited with two tackles for loss versus Cheyney…forced a fumble versus Cheyney…picked off a pass with a stupendous defensive knockdown at Lock Haven.

2011 (R-Sophomore): Totaled 10 tackles while playing in all 11 games in his second season on the field for the Raiders…had a tackle for loss against West Chester and added another 1.5 TFL against East Stroudsburg.

2010 (R-Freshman): Worked as a reserve in his debut season with the team…appeared against Shepherd, Cheyney, Millersville and Lock Haven…recorded two assisted tackles…picked up a half of a sack in the season finale at Lock Haven.

2009 (Freshman): Redshirt season.

Harry S Truman High School: Played under head coach Van Smith…versatile player who lined up as quarterback, wide receiver, safety and linebacker during his high school career with the Tigers…named an honorable mention selection to the Suburban One All-Conference Team following his senior season...also named team’s Defensive Player of the Year…also played basketball.

Personal: Full name is Michael James Schmidt Jr.…is the son of Michael and Linda Schmidt…majoring in accounting...has a brother, James.
