Biography

2011 (Junior): Enjoyed a breakout season as a versatile playmaker in the Raiders’ offense…set the single-season all-purpose yardage mark with 1,780…led team with 12 touchdowns (nine rushing, three receiving)…scored multiple touchdowns in four different games…surpassed the century mark in rushing in each of the final three games (four total on the season) en route to a career-high and team-high 913 rushing yards on the year…carried the ball 172 times for a 5.3 average per tote…also the team’s second-leading receiver, compiling 404 yards on 40 catches…the 40 grabs set a school record for the most by a running back in a single season…led the team with a career-high 463 kickoff return yards on 20 returns, good for an average of 23.1 per return…ran for a career-high 177 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries at Millersville en route to being named PSAC Eastern Division Offensive Player of the Week...caught a career-high eight receptions at Bloomsburg…scored four touchdowns (two rushing, two receiving) at Cheyney…named an All-PSAC Eastern Division Second Team selection at return specialist…also named to Don Hansen’s Football Gazette All-Super Region 1 Third Team at return specialist…became the first SU football player in eight years to be named a Capital One Academic All-American (was a second team selection)…also named to the Capital One Academic All-District Team…took home three awards at the team banquet: the John M. “Jack” Roddick Centurion Award (Team MVP), the John Bay Award (most outstanding offensive player) and the John E.  Hubley Award (player with the highest GPA).

2010 (Sophomore): Started in eight of the nine games in which he appeared during his second season…missed the C.W. Post and Kutztown games due to injury...received the 2010 Chris Heilman World Cup award from the football team…was a difference maker when he was on the field, particularly as a pass catcher out of the backfield…ranked second on the team with a career-high 492 receiving yards and was third on the team with a career-high 25 receptions…tied for the team lead with five receiving touchdowns…ran for 73 yards on just eight carries at Clarion…also hauled in five passes for 108 receiving yards and two touchdowns against the Golden Eagles…set single-game career highs with seven receptions and 118 receiving yards at East Stroudsburg, scoring two touchdowns…caught SU’s longest touchdown pass of the season, a 64-yard strike at West Chester…had at least one reception in all nine of his games played…totaled a season-high 11 rushes and scored both of his rushing touchdowns against Gannon…served as a kick returner in the first three games of the season...finished with 22 receptions of 10 or more yards and nine rushes of 10 or more yards.

2009 (Freshman): Displayed game-changing ability at tailback in his true freshman season with the Red Raiders…appeared in all 12 games of the season and made 11 starts…averaged 5.6 yards per carry on 75 rushes…totaled 420 rushing yards and had five rushing touchdowns…also averaged 16.6 yards per reception…hauled in 21 passes for 349 yards and two touchdowns…ranked third on the team with 769 all-purpose yards and fourth on the team in scoring…tallied five solo tackles and one tackle assist…led Shippensburg with 179 total yards in the NCAA playoff game against California (Pa.)…broke a 74-yard cutback for a touchdown in the same game…scored a 32-yard rushing touchdown and an 18-yard receiving touchdown in the PSAC State Game against California (Pa.)…reached paydirt twice on the ground at Cheyney…took a center screen pass 55 yards for a touchdown against Kutztown…carried the ball a season-high 13 times against Millersville…had at least one reception in 10 games.

Cumberland Valley High School: Ran for 1,701 yards and averaged 7.7 yards per rush during his senior season for head coach Tim Rimpfel at Cumberland Valley...scored 23 touchdowns and recorded a season-long run of 91 yards against Warwick...totaled 11 games with at least 100 rushing yards...averaged 17.9 yards per catch on 21 receptions with 377 receiving yards during the campaign...caught two touchdown passes...also played linebacker for the Eagles and totaled 85 tackles (33 solo), an average of 6.1 per game, while recovering two fumbles and blocking a field goal...totaled 2,180 career rushing yards and 31 touchdowns…amassed 109 career tackles, three fumble recoveries and two interceptions…named a First Team running back as a senior and earned honorable mention as a linebacker…complemented his football playing with time on the track squads, running sprints and competing in jumps.
