2011-12 (Sophomore): Maintained her role as a butterfly and backstroke swimmer for the Raiders in her second season…contributed to the 400-medley relay squad that placed at the PSAC Championships…made considerable improvement upon her PR in the 200 butterfly, posting the team’s fastest time for the season after a great swim at George Mason…set a new PR in the 100 butterfly at the Zippy Invitational, slotting second among Raiders for the season...was third among Raiders in the 100 breaststroke and the 200 IM.
2010-11 (Freshman): Competed in butterfly and backstroke events for the Raiders in her debut season with the team…served as the team’s pacesetter for the season in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 60 seconds flat…completed her PR swims of the season at the Patriot Invitational from George Mason…ranked among the team’s Top 5 competitors for the season in both backstroke events.
Northampton High School: Earned three letters with the Konkrete Kids under head Gwen Whilden…thrived in the butterfly and backstroke events…competed for Parkland Aquatics Club on the club level.
Personal: Full name is Sarah Rachel Hanson…is the daughter of Neal and Patricia Hanson…majoring in finance.
