2011-12 (Junior): Achieved three individual and three relay place-winning performances at the conference championships in his third season with the Raiders…established a new PR in the 50 freestyle and placed fourth at the PSAC meet, serving as the team’s pacesetter in the event…his PR of 21.06 is the third-fastest in school history…also posted the team’s fastest time of the season in the 100 freestyle, finishing 14th at the PSAC meet…earned his debut PSAC place-winning performance in the 100 breaststroke…was an integral freestyler on relays…had a hand in the fastest relay times of the season for four of the teams five events.

2010-11 (Sophomore): Grew stronger as a sprint freestyle swimmer in his second season with the Raiders…finished as a two-time PSAC individual place-winner and a two-time PSAC place-winner in relays…placed fourth in the 50-yard freestyle at the PSAC Championships with a time of 21.45 seconds…that effort matched the fastest SU time of the season and ranks 10th all-time…took 10th place in the 100-yard freestyle at the PSAC meet with a time of 47.78 seconds…contributed to the 200-yard freestyle and 200-yard medley relay squads that finished third at the PSAC Championships…posted SU’s second-fastest time of the season in the 200-yard freestyle with a solid effort at the Patriot Invitational.

2009-10 (Freshman): Progressed as a freestyle swimmer in his debut season with the Red Raiders…earned points as a PSAC place-winner (15th; 21.98) in the 50-yard freestyle…also placed at PSACs in the 200-yard freestyle relay…tied for the team’s third-fastest season ranking in the 50-yard freestyle with a strong performance at the Patriot Invitational…was also among the leading 100-yard freestyle swimmers with a solid time at the Zippy Invitational (48.48).

Boiling Spring High School: Earned four letters while swimming for head coach Matt Brenner…competed in PIAA State Championships during last three years of high school…excelled in sprint freestyle events, posting personal bests of 21.60 in the 50 freestyle, 47.74 in the 100 freestyle flat start and 46.78 in the 100 freestyle relay…named an all- state performer during sophomore season…named to the All-Sentinel Team junior and senior year…competed for club team NYAC…also ran track and field.

Personal: Full name is Edwin Joseph LaNoue…is the son of Ed and Amy Lanoue…majoring in marketing…parents both graduated from Shippensburg in 1987…father Ed is in the SU hall of fame and was a three-time national champion in sprint freestyle events who still holds SU’s 50 and 100 freestyle records.
