Shippensburg University Athletics

2012 (Junior): Appeared in 11 games and made four starts…posted a 3-3 record and a 5.65 ERA…logged 28.2 innings, striking out 10…won at Tusculum and also won at Wilmington and at East Stroudsburg in relief…struck out three batters on two separate occasions…gave up three hits and one run in 5.1 innings at Tusculum…three four shutout innings over two days against East Stroudsburg.

2011 (Sophomore): Posted a solid season as a pitcher for the Raiders…emerged as a viable starting option…was the team’s best pitcher in the month of April, allowing six earned runs in 22.2 innings of work while posting a 4-0 record and a 2.38 ERA…helped the team clinch a playoff berth in the team’s season finale with a win at Mansfield…ranked fourth on the team in ERA…exhibited some of the team’s best control, walking just eight hitters in 35 innings…made 13 appearances, including three starts…struck out 20 batters…contributed to a pair of shutouts by the team…picked up saves in back-to-back appearances against Concord and Clarion…threw six shutout innings in a win over Washington Adventist…tossed two shutout innings against Division I Bucknell and three shutout innings against Slippery Rock.

2010 (Freshman): Appeared in 14 games and made seven starts for the Red Raiders in his debut season…struck out 20 batters in 38.1 innings…tied for the team lead with three wins…notched his first collegiate victory with two shutout innings of relief at nationally-ranked Kutztown…allowed three runs in a five-inning start against UPJ that resulted in a win…did not allow a run in 7.1 innings of work from April 14-20…earned the team’s Cy Young award during the Fall World Series.

Red Lion High School: Awarded three varsity letters as a Lion under head coach Robert Beatty…posted a 5-2 record as a senior and a 2.33 ERA…named to The Daily Record’s YAIAA Division I Baseball All-Star team as a senior…named the York County American Legion Baseball Pitcher of the Year as well as a league all star…also played golf while at Red Lion…was a stellar student academically on the distinguished honor roll and was a member on the National Honors Society.
