2011 (Junior): Earned All-PSAC Eastern Division First Team plaudits as a utility player and NCBWA All-Atlantic Region Honorable Mention for his exemplary work at the top of the Raider lineup…received a 2011 ABCA/Rawlings Division II “Gold Glove” award…set the school record for the most defensive chances in a season without committing an error (131) after not committing an error in 83 outfield chances or 48 infield chances…became one of three known players in school history to tally at least 100 total chances in a single season without committing an error…led Shippensburg with 42 runs scored, including five in the PSAC tournament…posted a team-best .322 batting average…totaled a team-high 56 hits…had a team-high 15 multi-hit games…stole 12 bases to complement a .419 on-base percentage…finished the year as the 12th toughest player in Division II to strikeout, fanning just nine times in 174 at-bats…compiled a season-long hitting streak of 11 games…batted leadoff in 47 of the team’s 51 games…competed over the summer with the Tradewater Pirates in the Ohio Valley collegiate league.

2010 (Sophomore): Became an integral infielder with the Red Raiders in his debut season with Shippensburg…appeared in 46 games and made 44 starts during the year…led the team with seven stolen bases…also led the team with seven sacrifice bunts…hit .274 with 12 RBIs and 17 runs scored…tallied five extra-base hits…played 34 games at second base…also appeared at shortstop and in left field…primarily batted ninth or hit leadoff…had nine multi-hit games, including a season-high three hits in the second game of the season at Catawba…compiled a season-high, eight-game hitting streak.

2009 (Freshman): Competed for the Lancers of Lenoir Community College in North Carolina for head coach Stony Wine and assistant CC Tilghman.

Northern Lebanon High School: Earned four letters as a Viking while playing under head coach Daryl Hess…batted .370 as a senior, earning both team gold glove and RBI king distinctions…named an All Lebanon-Lancaster League infield selection in 2008…also played soccer while at Northern Lebanon.

Personal: Full name Eric Matthew Herman…is the son of Chuck and Liz Herman…majoring in criminal justice.
