Biography

2011 (R-Junior): Emerged into a team leader from the secondary in this third competitive season with the Raiders…started all but one game…led the squad with four interceptions and was second amongst all defensive backs with a career-high 42 total tackles, including 29 solo…broke up four passes while defending eight others…totaled two tackles for loss…recovered a fumble in each of the first two games of the season…also notched his first career interception in the second game of the season, at Gannon…posted a career-high eight tackles and a TFL at C.W. Post…returned an interception 19 yards against Kutztown…contributed seven tackles at Bloomsburg…added six tackles and intercepted two passes against East Stroudsburg before wrapping up the season with six more tackles and a TFL the next week against Mercyhurst…won the Ray Ellis Fighting Heart Award at the team banquet.

2010 (R-Sophomore): Played in just six games due to injury…made an impression while on the field…amassed 26 tackles, including 23 solo stops…forced and recovered a fumble…registered one quarterback hurry and one pass breakup…recorded at least two tackles in every game…tallied a career-high six tackles in each of the first two games of the season…missed the final five contests.

2009 (R-Freshman): Appeared in 10 games for the Red Raiders in his debut season…totaled 22 tackles, including 12 solo stops…broke up one pass…registered one quarterback hurry…had a season-high five tackles at Edinboro…picked up four solo tackles including a sack in the victory over Kutztown…totaled at least one tackle in every game.

2008 (Freshman): Redshirt season.

Thomas Johnson High School: Earned numerous all-conference and all-area honors as a running back, defensive back and return specialist for the Patriots under head coach Ben Wright…earned two letters…totaled 1,800 rushing yards and over 400 receiving yards…compiled approximately 145 tackles to complement 10 interceptions…was a First Team All-Monocacy Conference safety and a First Team All-Area running back…also earned Third Team All-Maryland honors at running back…honored as a BTC Super 22 returner...squad reached the state semifinals…competed in track and field…graduated on the honor roll.

Personal: Full name is Corey Hunt…is the son of Steven and Michelle Hunt…majoring in geoenvironmental studies and seeking a GIS certificate…is one of three children with sister Ciara and brother Dakota.
