Biography

2011 (R-Junior): Emerged as a defensive leader at linebacker for the Raiders and set career highs in every defensive category…started every game of the season and led the team with 83 total tackles (55 solo) and 19.5 tackles for loss…TFL total was third-most in the PSAC…tallied seven sacks for 45 yards and grabbed his first career interception at Gannon…posted double-digit tackle totals four different times, including 13 against Kutztown and 12 the next week against West Chester to finish a three-game span in which he totaled 35 tackles and 10.5 tackles for loss (4.5 sacks)…in Homecoming win against Kutztown, was named the Shippensburg VFW Defensive MVP of the game…for his efforts against the Golden Bears, was also named the PSAC Eastern Division Defensive Player of the Week…All-PSAC Eastern Division  First Team selection at linebacker…also named to the Daktronics, Inc., Division II All-Super Region 1 Football Second Team…at the team banquet, earned the Kevin Mylett Award for the most outstanding defensive player.

2010 (R-Sophomore): Continued to serve as a dependable and fearsome linebacker for the Red Raiders…started in eight of the 10 games in which he played…ranked third on the team with 62 tackles, a number that includes 43 solo stops…amassed eight tackles for loss, totaling 19 yards…registered two quarterback hurries and blocked a kick…opened the campaign with a season-high 11 tackles against Shepherd…had seven solo tackles in each of the first two games, including a sack against Gannon…also recorded 4.5 tackles for loss during that span…totaled four or more tackles in nine of his 10 games…tallied at least one half of a tackle for loss in six games…led the team with 12 tackles on special teams.

2009 (R-Freshman): Became an integral force in the linebacker corps in his first full season with the Red Raiders…appeared in all 12 games and finished fifth on the squad in tackles despite not making any starts…was sixth on the team in solo tackles (31) and contributed 24 tackle assists…earned one sack for a loss of eight yards against Lock Haven…finished that contest with 3.5 tackles for loss…amassed 8.5 tackles for loss on the season to rank fourth on the team…had at least one tackle in 11 games…finished with a career-high 12 total tackles against Bloomsburg…tied his season-high of five solo tackles against Bloomsburg and Cheyney…compiled at least four solo tackles in five contests, including games against East Stroudsburg and West Chester.

2008 (Freshman): Redshirt season.

Upper Perkiomen High School: Finished his career with 304 tackles for an average of 8.7 over the course of his 35-game career…played for head coach Keith Leamer...totaled 11 sacks for 74 yards to go along with one interception…recorded 103 tackles (56 solo, 47 assisted) in his senior year as well as five sacks in 12 games…amassed a career-high 112 tackles (68 solo, 44 assists) and four sacks with one interception in his junior season…as a tailback he totaled 1,429 rushing yards on 159 carries…averaged 9.0 yards per carry for his career and totaled 17 rushing touchdowns, including a career-long of 78 yards…led his team with a per-carry average of 10.7 yards and scored 15 rushing touchdowns in his senior season…ran for 234 yards on just 16 carries with four touchdowns in the season finale against Boyertown while wearing the jersey of fallen teammate Keith Klepac, who died in a car accident.

Personal: Full name is Cody Bryan Fleming…is the son of Bryan and Debbie Fleming…has three brothers, Chase, Dalton and Tanner, and one sister, Gianna…Chase is a teammate on the football team…majoring in criminal justice.
