2009-10 (Junior): Set new personal bests in the 200 and the 400 with the Lady Raiders in her third year with the team…helped the DMR squad win a PSAC indoor championship…competed individually in the 400 meters at the PSAC indoor and outdoor meets.
2008-09 (Sophomore): Competed in eight meets for the Lady Raiders…set three personal marks during her second season with the program…finished the 400 in a personal-best 1:00.64 at SU’s Paul Kaiser Classic…ran the 200 in a career-best 27.17 at the Millersville Metrics…completed the 200 in 27.44 at the PSAC East Challenge…posted a personal-record time in the 500 at the Bucknell Heptagonal.
2007-08 (Freshman): Set one personal record while taking part in eight meets in her first season with the Lady Raiders…finished the 800 in a career-best 2:36.05 at the 18th Annual Bucknell Winter Classic…ran the 400 in a season-best 1:02.12 at the Kent State Tune Up…completed her first collegiate 200-meter event in 28.04 at the Lynchburg Invitational.
Kutztown High School: Earned four letters for the Cougars under the direction of Kelley Neyhart…served as the secretary of her school’s chapter of the National Honor Society…also played field hockey.
Personal: Full name is Sara Renee Wlazelek…is the daughter of Brian Wlazelek and Jeanne Casella…majoring in secondary education with an emphasis in English…has a sister, Kristen.
