Biography

2010 (Junior): Dazzled for the Lady Raiders as the leadoff hitter in her third season with the team…was one of just three players to start all 42 games of the year…started every game in center field…went to the plate more than any SU player, totaling 149 at-bats…slugged five doubles and five triples, the latter which was the second-best total in the PSAC…drove in six runs…had eight sacrifices…committed just three errors in 71 fielding chances…finished second on the team with 20 runs scored…stole 18 bases in 19 attempts…totaled multiple hits in 10 games…posted a season-long hitting streak of 10 games…reached base in all of her plate appearances against South Dakota, a program that was making the transition to Division I…strung together seven hits in the first four games at the Rebel Spring tournament in Florida…scored four runs and had three hits in a doubleheader sweep at Clarion…produced at least one hit on 17 of the 20 days that SU played a game and in 13 of the team’ 16 PSAC Eastern Division games.

2009 (Sophomore): Continued to develop as a starting outfielder for the Lady Raiders in her second season…played in all of the team’s games for the second straight year and was one of just four players to start in every game…ranked second in the PSAC with six triples…tied for the team lead with 11 stolen bases…finished second on the team with 27 runs and third on the team with 70 total bases…compiled 14 extra-base hits…batted .294 in a team-high 170 at-bats…had 15 multiple-hit games and five multiple-RBI games…strung together a season-long hitting streak of eight games…went 3-for-3 with a double, walk and an RBI to open the Rebel Spring Games against Edinboro…hit two triples in the same game against Charleston…stole multiple bases in two games…performed well in a PSAC Tournament game against Slippery Rock with two hits, two RBIs and two runs scored.

2008 (Freshman): Played in all 55 games as a freshman and made starts in 50 of those games…put together a .260 batting average and improved her hitting as the season progressed…totaled 40 hits and 17 runs…exhibited her speed with a team-high five stolen bases…compiled five doubles and two triples to go along with seven RBIs and a .318 slugging percentage…went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run in the season-opener against Wheeling Jesuit…had multiple hits in 12 games during the season…drove in multiple runs in back-to-back games against West Virginia State and Alderson-Broaddus…scored multiple runs in back-to-back games against Bluefield State and Glenville State.

Northeast High School:
Was a four-time varsity letterwinner for the Eagles under Coach Marianne Shultz…broke the state record for hits in a season (51) as a senior…selected First Team All-County, First Team Maryland Gazette, First Team Baltimore Sun All-Metropolitan, Second Team Washington Post All-Metropolitan in addition to earning All-State honors as a senior…chosen Second Team All-County as a sophomore and junior…named the 2005 USSSA Super World Series MVP…graduated 39th out of 365 and was a National Junior Honor Society member…named a 2007 USAA National English Merit Award winner…played for club team Riviera Beach Spirit under coach Mike Buccheit and was teammates with fellow junior Hope Cornell.

Personal: Full name is Jillian Marie Mullan…is the daughter of Jim and Kim Mullan… has one older sister, Stacey…majoring in human communication studies and pursuing a minor in communication/journalism.
