Biography
2010-11 (Freshman): Debuted as a freestyle and backstroke swimmer for the Raiders…placed ninth in the 100-yard backstroke at the PSAC Championships with a time of 53.00 seconds…his time was the fourth-fastest in the event among SU swimmers…achieved several season PRs at the Patriot Invitational, including his fastest mark in the 50-yard freestyle…displayed much talent in a variety of events, particularly the backstroke and in sprint freestyle.
Wilson High School: Amassed four varsity letters for the Bulldogs under coach Roy Snyder…specialized in freestyle and backstroke competition…posted high school bests of 21.5 in the 50 free, 47.2 in the 100 free and 52.9 in the 100 back…earned All-American, All-State, All-District and All-County honors in addition to All-Berks recognition…contributed to a 400-yard freestyle relay squad that set a state record…competed for the Reading YMCA club squad…also played baseball, basketball and water polo.
Personal: Full name is Ryan John Westley…is the son of Steve and Florence Westley…majoring in computer science.
