Shippensburg University Athletics

2011-12 (Junior): Went 2-12 on the season, with eight matches at No. 3 singles, five at No. 1 singles and one at No. 2 singles…both victories came at No. 3 singles, in straight sets against Cheyney and in a tight 7-6, 2-6, 10-7 tiebreaker win against East Stroudsburg…appeared in doubles in every match of the season, either at No. 1 or No. 2 doubles…lone win came with Lisa Snader against Cheyney, 8-0.

2010-11 (Sophomore): Finished with a 4-11 overall record and a 1-5 record in PSAC play…led the team in victories…competed in singles and doubles in all 15 matches…picked up two wins at No. 4 singles…earned a victory over Messiah at No. 4 singles with a 10-3 tiebreaker…was a regular at No. 2 doubles…played five matches at No. 1 doubles…teamed up with Hannah Wolfe to win once at No. 1 doubles.

2009-10 (Freshman): Compiled two wins at No. 6 singles through 10 matches…also played one match at No. 4 singles and another at No. 5 singles…frequented at No. 3 doubles with Ali Horvath and posted a 4-6 record in the flight…competed in two matches at No. 2 doubles with Hannah Lolley.

Central Cambria High School: Earned four varsity letters under coach Jamie Taylor…twice earned all-conference honors…graduated with high honors as a member of the National Honor Society and received an Excellence Award.

Personal: Full name is Cassandra Lynn Sidone…is the daughter of John and Sharon Sidone…majoring in chemistry while seeking a minor in biology…has three siblings: Kara, Jessica and Brian…brother Brian was a four-year member of the golf team at Duquesne.
