2009 (Junior): As a third-year competitor, Gelety was in uniform for the first five meets of the season. Gelety was the team’s No. 3 runner at the 6K Mountaineer Invitational in which he posted a collegiate PR of 19:21. During the indoor track season, Gelety specialized in the 800 meters and placed with the 4x800-meter relay squad. He went on to post a seventh-place finish in the 1,500 meters at the outdoor PSAC meet.
2008 (Sophomore): Gelety competed in the first five races of the season for the Red Raider program, competing at three different distances. In the team’s highlight performance of the season, Gelety was the team’s seventh-fastest runner at the Paul Short Invitational with a new personal-best 8K time of 27:51. He recorded a new personal-best with a 4K time of 13:07 at the Dickinson Invitational and followed that up with a personal-best 6K time of 20:51 in the season-opening Alumni Invitational. During the indoor track season, Gelety contributed to a 4x800-meter relay squad that finished third at the PSAC meet.
2007 (Freshman): Gelety made his debut with the Red Raiders and competed in four meets while gaining some collegiate experience. His top 8K performance was 28:14 at the Gettysburg Invitational. He competed in the PSAC Championships, finishing the Kutztown course in 28:59. Gelety’s fastest time in the 6K was 20:15, set at Elizabethtown.
