Biography
2009-10 (Junior): Was one of the most consistent butterfly swimmers for Shippensburg during her second season with the team…achieved a 14th-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly at the PSAC Championships as SU’s season pacesetter (2:12.60)…was the only SU swimmer to place in either butterfly event at the conference championships…posted the team’s second-fastest time in the 100-yard butterfly (1:00.63)…ranked among the team’s Top 5 competitors in the 50-yard freestyle.
2008-09 (Sophomore): Debuted for Shippensburg…finished eleventh at the 2009 PSAC Championships in the 200-yard butterfly (2:14.87), which was also the team’s second-best time in the event… also posted the team’s fourth-best time in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:32.17) at the PSAC Championships… posted the team’s fifth-best time in the 50-yard freestyle (25.24) at the 2008 Patriot Invitational… posted the team’s fourth-best time in the 1000 free (11:28.27) vs. Indiana (Pa.)… posted the team’s fourth-best time in the 500 free (5:28.72) and the fifth-best time in the 400 IM (4:59.49) at the 2008 Zippy Invitational… finished with the team’s second-fastest time in the 50 IM (16.93) vs. Kutztown.
2007-08 (Sophomore): Transfer season; did not swim.
2006-07 (Freshman): Swam for the Huskies of Bloomsburg in her first collegiate season…recorded the team’s top season time in four events – the 100-yard breaststroke (1:11.32), the 200-yard breaststroke (2:32.98), the 100-yard butterfly (1:01.47) and the 200-yard butterfly (2:13.53)…her 200-fly time ranked eighth in Bloomsburg history…also recorded the team’s fourth-fastest time in the 200-yard individual medley (2:21.56).
Lower Moreland High School: Four year letterwinner…swam for head coach Chris Gamble and also competed for the Lower Moreland Lightning swim club…competed in the 100-yard breaststroke at the PIAA Championships as a senior.
Personal: Full name is Jessica Anne Stusnick…is the daughter of John and Nancy Stusnick…majoring in elementary education while seeking a minor in psychology.
