2011 (Junior): Filled a valuable role as a first baseman and pitcher for the Raiders in her third season with the team…started 28 games at first base, two at designated player and two at pitcher…recorded nine hits on the season, with none bigger than the game-winning RBI-single in a PSAC tournament victory over Mercyhurst…tallied four RBIs for the season…compiled a .975 fielding percentage…went 3-0 in the circle…appeared in six games as a pitcher…posted a 3.00 ERA for the season…struck out 25 hitters in 23 innings of work…spun a complete-game gem in a win over Fayetteville State, allowing two unearned runs for a victory with 11 strikeouts…tossed 4.2 shutout innings of relief against West Liberty with five strikeouts…pitched in the PSAC tournament against IUP.

2010 (Sophomore): Alternated between the circle and the field in her second season with the Raiders…threw 17 innings overall…appeared in 11 games and five starts from the circle…struck out nine batters…did not allow an earned run in three of her appearances…logged a season-high 5.1 innings in a start against West Chester…picked up a win against Glenville State…collected 30 at-bats…played the outfield, served as a designated player and also pinch hit…had an RBI against Slippery Rock…scored four runs…stole one base.

2009 (Freshman): Performed admirably for the Raiders in her first season as a pitcher…earned four starts and pitched 30.2 innings…posted a 2-2 record…recorded 17 strikeouts…appeared in 11 games from the circle…got the start in the regular season finale at East Stroudsburg and allowed two earned runs in 6.2 innings while striking out five…picked up her first collegiate victory over Mary by allowing just one earned run in 6.2 innings…had five hits in 24 at-bats during the season…drove in runs against Mary and NYIT…cranked a double against Lake Erie…scored two runs.

Souderton High School: Finished her high school career as a four-year letter winner for head coach Joe Hallar in the Suburban I Continental Conference… named the team’s most valuable player and earned Second Team all-league honors as her team reached the first round of the District One playoffs as a senior…was team captain her senior year…earned the team’s most valuable player award as a junior as a pitcher and at third base while receiving honorable mention all-league status…as a sophomore at second base, she was the team’s most improved player and helped her team to the PIAA AAAA State Semifinals while finishing as runners-up in District I…played left field and helped team to third round of the playoffs as a freshman…also competed for club team East Norriton Heartbreakers under head coach Harry DiBussolo…her club team was the ASA Eastern National Champions during her senior year. 

Personal: Full name is Emily Kathleen Parkins…is the daughter of Bob and Kim Parkins…majoring in management…has three sisters, Megan, Tara and Elizabeth…Megan graduated from Shippensburg in 2003…Lizzy is now a teammate.
