Biography
2009-10 (Junior): Improved as a breaststroke and individual medley swimmer for Shippensburg in her third season…won the ‘B’ group consolation final of the 100-yard breaststroke at the PSAC Championships with a personal-best time of 1:07.05 and placed 14th at the PSAC meet in the 400-yard IM with another personal-best time of 4:46.09…improved her personal best times in all of her major events…paced the team with the fastest SU time of the season in the 100-yard backstroke.
2008-09 (Sophomore): Continued to develop as a breaststroke swimmer in her second season with the team…recorded the team’s second-fastest overall times in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:08.61) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:31.29)…also completed the team’s third-fastest overall time for the season in the 200-yard individual medley (4:51.78).
2007-08 (Freshman): Evolved into a legitimate threat in breaststroke events…held second-best team time in the 50-yard breaststroke after a 34.55 finish at a meet against West Chester… also held second-best time in the 200-yard breaststroke, completing her swim in 2:32.77 at the Patriot Invitational...notched third-best team time in the 100-yard breaststroke event after a time of 1:10.81 at the Patriot Invitational.
Personal: Full name is Stephanie Mariani…majoring in marketing while seeking a minor in psychology.
