Biography

2011 (Sophomore): Posted a strong second half after emerging as the team’s primary catcher during his second season with the team…started 42 of the team’s 51 games…appeared in two games off the bench…finished the year with a .281 batting average with 18 RBIs…scored 15 runs…had seven multi-hit games…recorded a season-long hitting streak of nine games to finish the regular season, going 14-for-25 during that span…went 6-for-11 at the plate and hit his only home run of the season in the final regular season series against Mansfield…struck out just 10 times in 128 at-bats…posted a .968 fielding percentage…played for the Slippery Rock Sliders during the summer.

2010 (Freshman): Appeared in 15 games and made 10 starts during his debut season with the Red Raiders…primarily served as a backup catcher…also saw time as a designated hitter…totaled seven hits in 30 at-bats…had an RBI and a walk while scoring three runs…committed just one error.

Hanover Area High School: Awarded four varsity letters as a Hawk under head coach Mike Zapotoski…batted .490 with three home runs and 25 RBIs during his final season at Hanover…posted a .545 batting average as a junior with four home runs and 26 RBIs…batted .400 as a sophomore with 22 RBIs and seven doubles…served as a team captain during his senior season…twice named to the Citizen’s Voice All-District Team…earned team MVP honors as both a junior and a senior…twice was a medalist at the Keystone State Games…selected as an All-East selection for the American Legion All-Star Team.
