2009 (R-Sophomore): Boyer competed in five races during the cross country season but made his biggest strides during the outdoor track campaign when he finished sixth in the 10K at the PSAC championships with a PR of 31:34. During the cross country campaign, Boyer was the team’s No. 5 runner at the Paul Short Invitational with a solid 8K PR of 25:22. He finished 27th at the PSAC Championships as Shippensburg’s No. 8 runner and also competed at the 10K Mountaineer Invitational, the 6K Alumni meet and on the 8K course at Gettysburg. During the track season, Boyer impressed with a new 10K PR of 31:34 that led to a sixth-place finish at the PSAC Outdoor Championships.
2008 (R-Freshman): After posting an 8K time of 27:48 at the PSU National Invitational, Boyer filled a void and ran a solid race at the 2009 Atlantic Regionals in Slippery Rock, completing the 10K course in 34:20. He was the seventh-fastest Raider competitor in each of his races. One week before, Boyer posted a time of 26:07 at the PSAC meet.
2007 (Freshman): Boyer was a redshirt for the cross country program but competed in track and field. His fastest recorded time in the 5,000-meters was a time of 15:41 at the Bison Open during the indoor season. He will be looking to build off a strong high school career in which he was a state medalist in cross country.
Middletown High School: Boyer was a four-time letterwinner under head coach Don Boyer. He set high school PRs of 2:02 in the 800 and 16:09 in the 3-mile.
Personal: Brandon Lee Boyer is the son of Greg and Debbie Boyer and is majoring in criminal justice. Boyer has two brothers: Clayton and Justin.
