2008 (Junior): Served as one of the team’s most valuable defenders in her third season with the Lady Raiders…was one of just five players to start in all 20 of the team’s games on the season… contributed to a defensive unit that set a school record with 10 shutouts on the season…did not register any offensive statistics.

2007 (Sophomore): Expanded her role as a defender for the Lady Raiders in second season with team…appeared in all 20 of the team’s games on the season…made eight starts in the backfield, including conference games against West Chester, Kutztown, Bloomsburg and East Stroudsburg.

2006 (Freshman): Appeared in nine games as a freshman for the Lady Raiders…started in the Oct. 01 home contest against Charleston (WV).

Smithsburg High School: Was a four-time letterwinner for coach Bill Fowkes of the Leopards while competing in the Monocacy Valley Athletic League…functioned as the team captain on a squad that was 1A Maryland State Champions…named to the All Washington County first team as well as the all-Monocacy Valley Athletic League’s first team…helped lead a defense that amassed 43 shutouts in 75 career games.

Personal: Full name is Emily Jean Burger…is the daughter of Susie and Joe Burger…born on Mar. 27, 1988...majoring in accounting...minoring in international studies.
