2025 (R-Freshman): Emerged as an important piece of the SU wide receiver corps…saw action in nine games, including starts in each of the final four games of the season…totaled 20 receptions for 233 yards and two touchdowns…caught two or more passes five times…began the season with two receptions for 62 yards against Bowie State (Sept. 6)…caught four passes for 54 yards at nationally-ranked Slippery Rock (Sept. 20)…totaled season highs in both receptions (7) and receiving yards (73) against Lock Haven (Oct. 25)…registered his first career touchdown reception in a win over visiting West Chester (Nov. 8)…caught a TD pass in the season finale against Cal. (Pa.) (Nov. 15).

2024 (Freshman): Redshirt season…appeared in three games as a member of the SU special teams.
 
Hershey High School: Totaled three varsity letters for the Trojans under head coach Mark Painter…compiled 1,900 all-purpose yards during his senior season, including 36 receptions, 715 receiving yards and nine touchdowns as a receiver.
 
About Guzman: Full name is Derek Guzman…is the son of Eric Guzman and Linet Caban…has two siblings, Alexx and Katelyn.
