2010 (Junior):
Crushed opposing pitching in her third season with the team…started all 42 games at third base…led the team with 41 hits and was second on the squad with a .336 batting average…tied for the team lead with 64 total bases…smacked seven home runs…drove in 22 runs…scored 11 runs…drew 17 walks and struck out just eight times in 122 at-bats…posted multiple hits in 10 games and multiple RBIs in six games…strung together a season-long hitting streak of 10 games…also had an eight-game hitting streak… delivered at least one hit in 14 of the team’s last 16 games…compiled a .931 fielding percentage…produced a .417 on-base percentage and a .525 slugging percentage…had a season-high four RBIs in two different divisional games, including a grand slam in the season finale against East Stroudsburg…went 10-for-18 with nine RBIs in a five-game stretch from April 2-6…drilled two homers in the same game against Millersville…named a NFCA Scholar-Athlete.

2009 (Sophomore): Received an honorable mention selection to the 2009 Daktronics All-American Division II softball team in just her second year with the Lady Raiders…she was one of seven PSAC players honored nationally…named to the All-PSAC Eastern Division Second Team at third base…finished with a .385 batting average…belted eight home runs while totaling 37 RBIs and 89 total bases, all SU bests…ranked 10th in the PSAC for total bases…also led the team with 57 hits and a .601 slugging percentage…scored 20 runs…struck out just 13 times…stood as the only player through the conference tournament to hit a home run during the season off Kristen Erb, the 2008 NFCA Pitcher of the Year…totaled a team-best nine multiple-RBI games while having 17 multiple-hit games…strung together a season-long hitting streak of 12 games to open the year…batted .516 through the first nine games of the year…carried a batting average of .400 or better through the completion of the PSAC Tournament…smacked a home run and had a season-high four RBIs in a victory over Mount Olive…went 2-for-3 with two doubles and three RBIs in a PSAC Tournament victory over Slippery Rock…had a three-hit, three-RBI performance in a conference matchup with West Chester…impressed with a 4-for-4 performance against Lewis…crossed the plate three times and totaled three hits in a victory over NYIT…tallied multiple hits in three straight games during the non-conference schedule.

2008 (Freshman): Displayed her strong swing by finishing second on the team with six homers despite missing the final 17 games of the season due to an injury…started in all 35 games in which she appeared and ended the season with a .323 batting average…led the team with a .606 slugging percentage, clubbing 32 hits, eight doubles, a triple, and her six homeruns…drew 10 walks and struck out just 12 times while compiling 60 total bases…committed just four errors for a .952 fielding percentage…named the PSAC Eastern Division Player of the Week on March 24 after belting three home runs in four games this weekend at the Salem Tournament… hit over .600 from the plate in the four-game stretch and finished the weekend 9-for-14 with three home runs and seven RBIs…after being limited to just one at-bat in two games on the first day of the tournament, she came back to hit the game-winning grand slam in a 10-6 victory over Glenville State and then went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI against West Liberty State…belted home runs in consecutive at-bats against Alderson-Broaddus and was 2-for-2 with a walk against West Virginia State…hit a team-leading five home runs and drove in 15 runs through the first 23 games of the season…finished 2-for-3 with home run, 3 RBIs and two runs in an 8-4 victory over West Chester on April 8.

Manassas Park High School:
Was a four-time letter winner for the Cougars in the Bull Run District under head coach Gerry Campbell…laced 145 hits in 259 at-bats for a career batting average of .560…smacked 30 home runs, 41 doubles and 139 RBI at third base…struck out 782 batters in 521 innings pitched over her career…recorded 51 wins and a 0.94 ERA for her career…named First Team All-District four times and was a District Player of the Year three times…earned First Team All-Region honors three times and was a two-time Region B Player of the year and was a three-time All State Second Team selection…recognized by the Washington Post as a Second team All-Metro selection in 2007…holds the Virginia high school record for hits in one game (six) as well as season records for home runs (12) and runs in a season (40)…also holds career records for home runs (30) and RBI (139)… hit more than one homer in a game seven times, including two home runs in an inning…was a two-time regular season and tournament champion and was a member of a regional championship squad in her freshman season…also played volleyball and basketball, and received Second Team All-District in volleyball and basketball as a senior…graduated fifth in her class of 149 from Manassas Park High School.

Personal: Full name is Courtney Diane Steele…is the daughter of Trish and Eddie Steele …majoring in elementary education while seeking a minor in early childhood development...her older sister Jennifer was a four-year letter winner at Longwood University and is now the head coach of Randolph College.
