Biography

2010 (Junior): Had the fifth-most at-bats (98) of the Lady Raiders during her third season with the program…became a regular in the outfield, particularly playing right field…appeared in 35 games and made 33 starts…totaled 23 hits, including four that went for extra bases…slugged two round trippers and totaled seven RBIs…scored eight runs…was one of just two players that saw time in the field to not commit an error and was the only regular starter to achieve the feat…had seven multiple-hit games…went 5-for-8 in a doubleheader sweep of Clarion…smacked a three-run homer in a comeback victory against East Stroudsburg…collected six hits in the opening tournament of the season at Catawba.

2009 (Sophomore): Continued to progress as a valuable member of the Lady Raiders…appeared in 21 games and made 17 starts across the diamond…scored seven runs…totaled 12 hits…slugged a solo home run and compiled eight RBIs…compiled 17 total bases…had multiple hits and multiple RBIs in two games…went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs against Millersville…crushed a solo home run against Fairmont State…hit a game-winning walk-off sacrifice fly in a PSAC tournament victory over Slippery Rock…finished with three hits and three RBIs in five at-bats versus The Rock in the conference tournament.

2008 (Freshman): Became a consistent player in both the infield and outfield for the Lady Raiders…finished her debut season with a .244 batting average… pulled out 20 hits, two doubles, a triple and a homer…totaled ten RBI’s and a .329 slugging percentage…stole one base and recorded a .300 on-base percentage…appeared in 38 games as a freshman and made 27 starts…had a spectacular second game in Florida against Queens (NY) with two hits, two RBIs and a run…finished the Queens doubleheader 4-for-6 with two runs scored…drew seven walks on the season…had at least one hit in her first three starts during conference play, finishing the April 11 doubleheader with Mansfield 3-for-6 with two RBIs…tallied at least one hit in 15 games.

Council Rock North High School:
Won three varsity letters for the Indians in the Suburban 1 conference under head coach Holly Woodward…patrolled third base and the outfield…recorded a .429 batting average and slugged six home runs to lead the area as a junior, including two in one game…broke an 11-inning tie in her first at-bat of the game against Council Rock South in junior season with a home run…received Suburban 1 All-League Honorable Mention as a sophomore and Suburban 1 All-League Second Team honors as a junior at shortstop…selected to the Bucks County Courier Times Golden Team and earned Centennial League Third-Team honors as a senior.

Personal: Full name is Moira Helene Johnsen …first name is pronounced “MORA”…is the daughter of Peter Johnsen and Cathy Bevilacqua…has an older brother, Patrick, who was a skier at Penn State…also has two step-sisters who attend Cumberland Valley High School…majoring in management while seeking a minor in coaching.
