2009 (Freshman): Appeared in 11 games during his first season as a Red Raider…drew a walk and had a single against Northwood…made two starts on the season, once at Barton and once at Tampa…scored a run in four different games…totaled 11 at-bats during the season...finished with three walks and an on-base percentage of .286.

Souderton High School: Posted a .480 batting average in his senior season with two home runs and 24 RBIs while playing for coach Mike Childs in the Suburban 1 Conference…thrived as a center fielder and earned two letters…named First Team All-Conference and Second Team All-Intelligencer…hit .362 as a junior with two home runs, 21 RBIs and a .476 on-base percentage on a team that was the runner-up at the PIAA State Championships…competed on the Souderton legion team for coach Pete Myers…also played running back and defensive back for the football team at Souderton.

Personal: Full name is Eric James Broney…born on Jan. 29, 1990…is the son of Scott and Joann Broney…majoring in marketing…has a sister, Laura, who has attended Shippensburg.
