Biography

2008: Returned to the role of the team’s durable starting catcher after serving as the primary backup the season before…established a great working relationship with the pitching staff…appeared in 55 games (all but two at catcher) while making 49 starts…team earned 28 victories when he started at catcher…hit .233 on the year with three home runs and 27 RBIs…recorded 47 total bases…finished with 10 multi-hit games and six multi-RBI games…went 3-for-3 with four RBIs and three runs scored against Shepherd on March 25…hit .500 with six RBIs and two runs scored over a five-game hitting streak from March 1-8…ranked second on team with .989 fielding percentage behind the plate.

 

2007: After a solid 2006 campaign, returned as primary backup catcher for Red Raiders…appeared in 37 games, starting 32…hit .214 on the season…tallied 22 hits and 34 total bases…knocked in 13 runs…hit career high three home runs…ranked 3rd on team with .996 fielding percentage…recorded 220 putouts…threw out five base runners for second year in a row… had 5 multi-hit games…went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI against Wingate on Feb. 17…

 

2006: Served as the team’s backup catcher during freshman season ... appeared in 22 games while earning a starting nod 14 times ... hit .256 on the season ... scored 12 times ... earned eight walks and posted an OBP of .365 ... threw out five base runners ... hit .312 against right-handed pitching ... went 3-for-7 with 3 RBIs with runners in scoring position and two outs ... turned in career performance on March 17 against Bryant ... went 3-for-4 with two doubles and his first career home run ... drove in a career-high four runs and scored twice ... went 2-for-4 with three runs scored against West Chester on March 29.

 

High School: Named an American Legion Western All Star and earned his high school’s most outstanding hitter award as a senior… selected an American Legion District 10 MVP and was a gold medalist in the Keystone State Games… won the Lancaster/Lebanon Leon Duckworth award for District 10 American Legion as the most outstanding catcher and was an East semifinalist for the all-star catcher awards during his junior year…received First Team All-Star honors as a sophomore catcher in the Lancaster/Lebanon League and second-team honors as a freshman…also competed in Europe.

 

Personal: Born on Oct. 7, 1986 … is the son of Martin and Lynn Killian … majoring in business.
