2022 (Sophomore): A 2022 Division II Academic All-District honoree…Converted three field goal attempts in his second season as the Raiders’ starting placekicker…appeared in 10 contests…recorded a season-long 44-yard field goal Sept. 24 at Bloomsburg…split the uprights on a 39-yard attempt against Kutztown…finished the season 25-of-29 on point-after attempts (86%).
 
2021 (Freshman): Named to the All-PSAC Eastern Division First Team and D2CCA All-Super 1 Region Football Second Team to cap off a banner debut season…appeared in all 11 games as the team’s place kicker…made 15-of-21 field goals, missed only once on a kick attempt under 40 yards…ranked second in the PSAC in field goals made…tied for the second-most field goals in SU single-season history…scored 85 points by kicking…ranked second in the PSAC in points by kicking, the second-most in SU single-season history…set school record with 50-yard field goal in the season opener against West Virginia State…finished the season 40-of-43 on point-after attempts (PATs), including 20-in-a-row to conclude the season.
 
2020 (Freshman): No season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
Tunkhannock Area High School: Totaled two varsity letters for the Tigers under head coach Mike Marabell…selected to represented Pennsylvania as the team’s placekicker for the 2020 Big 33 Game…named to the All-Conference First Team as a senior…scored 70 total points as a senior, converting 11-of-13 field goals including a long of 47 yards and 37-of-39 extra points…recorded 20 touchbacks as a senior…was a member of the National Honor Society…graduated among the Top 25 students in his senior class…totaled nine varsity letters overall, including four in soccer, two in lacrosse and one in track & field.
 
About Montross: Full name is Jaxson Tobias Montross…is the son of Bill and Jennifer Montross…majoring in supply chain management.
