Biography

As a junior (2008): Played in all 55 games during the season, starting in 53 as a batter while making 18 starts in the circle…once again proved herself at the plate with a team-best .349 batting average and the club lead in hits (59)… smashed four home runs and contributed 35 RBIs…had an eight-game hitting streak and a nine-game hitting streak during the season…finished with hits in 38 games during the season and had multiple hits in 15 games…began her season going 3-for-3 with two runs against Wheeling Jesuit…went 6-for-7 with five RBIs and six runs in the doubleheader against Queens (NY) on March 7…had a 3-for-3 performance in three of the first six games of the year and began the season hitting .615 (16-for-26) through the first eight games…stepped into the circle 23 times, making 18 starts… ended with a 2.22 ERA while striking out 90 batters…held opponents without an earned run in eight of her starts…notched her first win of the season against Belmont Abbey with a complete game while striking out four…threw a two-hitter against Upper Iowa, striking out seven, while offensively delivering three RBIs…squeezed through a tight game with West Virginia State on March 22, allowing two runs and five hits, but striking out five…threw a three-hit shutout against Philadelphia, striking out five along with a hit and an RBI and then recorded another three-hitter against ESU on March 30… capped off her season with a one-hit shutout of Slippery Rock in the NCAA regional tournament with seven strikeouts…did not allow an earned run in three of her final four starts…had a season-high eight strikeouts against Mercyhurst on March 20…named the PSAC Eastern Division Pitcher of the Week on March 31 after extending Shippensburg's win streak to 13 games by pitching four complete games without allowing an earned run in 27 innings pitched…earned a win in each of the four doubleheader sweeps for Shippensburg during the week, shutting out Philadelphia at home and Shepherd on the road before earning victories over Millersville and East Stroudsburg to open PSAC East play…struck out 20 batters in 27 innings over that span and lowered her ERA from 2.36 to 1.57 following her performances. 

As a sophomore (2007): Maintained her role as the super-versatile utility player for the Lady Raiders, starting 33 of 35 games in the field and making 17 appearances in the circle, including 12 starts…recorded nine victories and eight complete games for Shippensburg, finishing with a 2.55 ERA through 82.1 innings…struck out seven in four innings in her first start of the season against Elizabeth City State on February 23…pitched a career-long 8.1 innings against Tiffin on March 16, allowing just two earned runs…pitched three consecutive complete games for Shippensburg between March 24-28, allowing eight earned runs in 21 innings…recorded her first career shutout on March 25 against Alderson-Broaddus, striking out four batters…delivered four innings of shutout relief with six strikeouts in Game 2 of a doubleheader against Millersville on April 13…fanned eight batters in a complete game against West Chester on April 20…spun another shutout against Mansfield on April 22, allowing just two hits and two walks while striking out seven batters…did not allow an earned run in her final start of the season against East Stroudsburg in a complete-game victory…won five of her last seven decisions…slugged three RBIs and scored two runs in her first at-bats of the season, hitting as the pitcher in Game 2 of a doubleheader against Elizabeth City State…hammered two home runs and 14 RBIs while totaling 18 hits and nine runs…committed just one error en route to a .982 fielding percentage…hit a 2-run home run on March 25 against IUP.

As a freshman (2006):  Appeared in 43 games with 39 starts … started in 18 contests as the team’s designated player and 12 in right field … batted .221 with 27 hits in 122 at-bats … tied Kelly Nelson for the team lead in home runs with five … ranked third in RBIs with 25 … made two appearances in the circle with one start … totaled 5.0 innings and a 1.40 ERA with an 0-1 record … made first career appearance on March 4 against Queens (N.C.) in relief of Dani Shields … threw 1.2 innings, retiring all five batters she faced in a 3-1 loss … made her first career start on March 12 against Wayne State, totaling 3.1 innings with one strikeout while allowing five hits and six runs, only one of which was earned in 7-4 loss … had four multiple-hit games and six multiple RBI games, including two of the team’s three four-RBI games … went 2-for-4 with four RBIs, one run and a grand slam to left field in a decisive five-run first inning of an 8-4 victory over Minnesota State-Mankato on March 12 … was 3-for-4 with four RBIs, an RBI-double and three-run homer in an 8-6 loss against Millersville in game one of a doubleheader on April 29 … had a season-long five-game hit streak from April 11-17 … went 6-for-17 (.353) with four RBIs during that time … hit .250 (23-for-92) over her final 30 games after totaling just four hits in the first 13 games of the season and batting .133 (4-for-30) … hit .288 (17-for-59) over the final 20 games of the regular-season … was 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in a 6-0 game one victory versus Mansfield on April 12 … finished the day 3-for-7 … went 2-for-3 with two RBIs in game one at West Chester on April 7.

Before Shippensburg: Earned four varsity letters at Andrean HS for head coach Frank Podkul … had a 21-1 record and a 0.54 ERA as a senior … named All-Lake Athletic Conference First Team in 2005 … selected all-state second team and all-area as a senior … north/south all-star … honorable mention all-conference in 2004.
