SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – It will be an eventful home opener for the Shippensburg University field hockey team when it hosts Newberry at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12.
 
At 9 a.m., the Amanda Strous Fly High 22 Foundation Live, Laugh, Love 5K will begin from the Shippensburg Station located at the head of the Cumberland Valley Rail Trail. More information about this event is available HERE.
 
At halftime, SU Field Hockey will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of the 2016 NCAA Division II National Championship team with an on-field ceremony. The alumni who are able to attend will gather to be recognized.
 
The team will also have a tailgate following the 5K and before the start of the game.
