SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Shippensburg University junior Ty Sherman was named Tuesday to the 2026 Academic All-America® Baseball Team, recognizing the most accomplished student-athletes from throughout the country.

Sherman was selected to the NCAA Division II Second Team, becoming just the eighth Raider ever to be named to the Academic All-America® Baseball Team and the first since Jack Goertzen was named to the First Team in 2019.

In the classroom, Sherman maintained a perfect 4.0 grade point average as a biology major (health professional concentration) with minors in psychology and exercise science through the completion of 113 credits.
He is one of three PSAC players to be named to the 2026 Academic All-America® Team, joining Seton Hill infielder Brady Maguire (Second Team) and Bloomsburg outfielder Grant Russo (Second Team).

Pittsburg State senior Dagen Brewer was named the 2026 Division II Baseball Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year after slugging 26 home runs to go along with 107 RBIs in 56 games while maintaining a 3.57 GPA.
