SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Six Shippensburg University student-athletes have been selected to the 2025-26 Division II Academic All-District ® Men's Track & Field/Cross Country Team, an award that recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance in athletics and academics.
The Raiders who were recognized for the 2025-26 academic year are junior
Kyle Baker, senior
Ethan Conrad, sophomore
Jaycen Conrad, junior
Tommy Crum Jr., senior
Garrett Quinan and sophomore
Owen Shrader.
Quinan is now a three-time Academic All-District ® honoree. Crum Jr. becomes a two-time Academic All-District ® honoree. It is the first Academic All-District ® honor for Baker,
Ethan Conrad,
Jaycen Conrad and Shrader.
To be eligible for Academic All-District ® consideration, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and must be enrolled at their institution at the time of nomination either as undergraduates or graduate students.
Academically, an undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale). A graduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as both an undergraduate and a graduate student unless they are in their first semester as a graduate student and don't have an established graduate GPA.
Specific requirements for track & field include having recorded a Top 50 regional ranking in a single event during the indoor or outdoor season. Relays do not count as an individual event. For cross country, an athlete must have posted a Top 50 finish at their regional meet.
Baker maintains a 3.898 cumulative GPA through the completion of 114 credits. He is majoring in information systems & analytics. His regionally-ranked performances were the indoor mile and the outdoor 3,000-meter steeplechase.
Ethan Conrad graduated this May with a degree in political science and a minor in economics, having compiled a 3.85 cumulative GPA. His regionally-ranked performances were the indoor 60-meter hurdles, the indoor long jump, the outdoor 110-meter hurdles and the outdoor long jump.
Jaycen Conrad maintains a 3.964 cumulative GPA through the completion of 96 credits. He is a dual major – studying computer engineering and electrical engineering – while also pursuing a minor in mathematics. He is also a member of the Wood Honors College. His regionally-ranked performances were the indoor 3K, indoor 5K, outdoor 5K and outdoor 10K.
Crum Jr. maintains a 3.65 cumulative GPA through the completion of 90 credits. He is majoring in communication, journalism & media, concentrating in broadcast media production, while seeking minors in business and sports studies. His regionally-ranked performances included the indoor mile, the indoor 3K, the outdoor 800, the outdoor 1,500, the outdoor 5K and a fifth-place finish at the 2025 Atlantic Region Cross Country Championships.
Quinan maintains a 3.635 cumulative GPA through the completion of 130 credits. He is majoring in civil engineering and minor in mathematics. His regionally-ranked performances include the indoor mile, indoor 3K, indoor 5K, outdoor 5K, outdoor 10K and a third-place finish at the 2025 Atlantic Region Cross Country Championships.
Shrader maintains a 3.957 cumulative GPA through the completion of 76 credits. He is majoring in biology, concentrating in health professional/pre-dentistry, while seeking minors in biochemistry and public health. His regionally-ranked performance was the indoor 800.
Each student-athlete is now among those eligible for consideration for the 2025-26 Academic All-America ® Team that will be announced July 14.
The Academic All-District ® Team is selected by the College Sports Communicators (CSC). CSC honors a maximum of six men's and six women's track & field/cross country athletes from each school.
