SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Shippensburg University lacrosse senior Ali Pioli has been recognized as a 2026 Division II Academic All-District ® At-Large honoree, an award that recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance on the field and in the classroom.

Pioli, a biology major (health professional/pre-med concentration) with a minor in Spanish, graduated this spring with a 3.789 GPA through the completion of 127 credits.

Pioli is now a three-time Academic All-District honoree.

Overall, Shippensburg had eight student-athletes (six female, two male) selected to this year's All-District® At-Large squads. The other award winners were Emma Albee (field hockey), Carme Caracotche Picone (field hockey) Kyler Everly (wrestling), Diesel Koser (wrestling), Kelly Naudé (field hockey), Savannah Silvestre (field hockey) and Kayla Snyder (field hockey).

To be eligible for Academic All-District ® consideration, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and must be enrolled at their institution at the time of nomination either as undergraduates or graduate students.

Academically, an undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale). A graduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as both an undergraduate and a graduate student unless they are in their first semester as a graduate student and don't have an established graduate GPA.

The Academic All-District ® Team is selected by the College Sports Communicators (CSC). Whereas most of the Academic All-District and All-America ® teams focus on specific sports, the Women's At-Large category features a collection of several sports: beach volleyball, bowling, crew, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, rowing, skiing, water polo and wrestling.

Specific requirements for lacrosse include competing in 90 percent of the school's games or starting in 66 percent of the school's games.

Pioli is now eligible for consideration for the Academic All-America ® Women's At-Large Team that will be announced July 7.
