SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Five Shippensburg University field hockey student-athletes have been recognized as 2026 Division II Academic All-District ® At-Large honorees, an award that recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance on the field and in the classroom.
The Academic All-District® award-winners include
Emma Albee, Kelly Naudé,
Carme Caracotche Picone Savannah Silvestre and
Kayla Snyder.
Albee a graduate strategic communication major, earned her masters degree this spring after achieving a 3.91 GPA through the completion of 30 credits. As an undergrad she graduated cum laude with a degree in communications, journalism & media (public relations) in May 2025.
Caracotche Picone is a junior communication studies major with minors in creative writing and communication, journalism & media. She has maintained a 3.91 GPA through the completion of 90 credits.
Naudé, a senior entrepreneurship major, graduated this spring with a 3.985 GPA through the completion of 127 credits.
Silvestre, a graduate strategic communication major, earned her graduate degree this spring with a 3.97 GPA through the completion of 30 credits. As an undergrad, she graduated magna cum laude with a degree in entrepreneurship in May 2025. She maintained an undergraduate GPA of 3.719.
Snyder is junior early childhood education major with a 3.916 GPA through the completion of 96 credits.
Albee, Caracotche Picone and Snyder and are now two-time Academic All-District® honorees. It is the first recognition for Naudé and Silvestre.
Overall, Shippensburg had eight student-athletes (six female, two male) selected to this year's All-District® At-Large squads. The other award winners were Kyler Everly (wrestling), Diesel Koser (wrestling) and Ali Pioli (lacrosse).
To be eligible for Academic All-District ® consideration, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and must be enrolled at their institution at the time of nomination either as undergraduates or graduate students.
Academically, an undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale). A graduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as both an undergraduate and a graduate student unless they are in their first semester as a graduate student and don't have an established graduate GPA.
The Academic All-District ® Team is selected by the College Sports Communicators (CSC). Whereas most of the Academic All-District and All-America ® teams focus on specific sports, the Women's At-Large category features a collection of several sports: beach volleyball, bowling, crew, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, rowing, skiing, water polo and wrestling.
Specific requirements for field hockey include competing in 90 percent of the school's games or starting in 66 percent of the school's games.
All five Raiders are now among those eligible for consideration for the Academic All-America ® Women's At-Large Team that will be announced July 7.
